Mount Raung (highest peak: 3,344 m above sea level) is a cone volcano located at the eastern end of the island of Java, Indonesia. Administratively, this mountain region is included in the area of ​​three districts in the Besuki region, East Java, namely Banyuwangi, Bondowoso, and Jember.

Geographically, the location of this mountain is in the complex area of ​​the Ijen Mountains and is the highest peak of the mountain range. Calculated from the highest point, Mount Raung is the third highest mountain in East Java after Mount Semeru and Mount Arjuno, and is the fourth highest on the island of Java. Mount Raung caldera is also the largest dry caldera on Java Island and the second largest in Indonesia after Mount Tambora in West Nusa Tenggara.

Judging from its vegetation, Mount Raung has a Dipterocarp Hill forest area, Upper Dipterocarp forest, Montane forest, and Ericaceous forest or mountain forest.
